Meet the clinican: Addie Ehlenberger (She/her)

In My Own Words

I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of frameworks to best meet the unique needs of each person I work with. My work is grounded in a holistic understanding of the individual—recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, environment, and lived experience.

I incorporate psychodynamic perspectives to explore how past experiences, relationships, and internal patterns shape your present, while also utilizing practical tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when helpful. This allows our work to be both insight-oriented and actionable—supporting deeper understanding while also building strategies that make day-to-day life feel more manageable.

Above all, therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach—together, we create a space that feels supportive, affirming, and responsive to what you need most.

Who I Work Best With

I primarily work with adults across the lifespan, including older adults, who are navigating life transitions, grief and loss, identity exploration, and the evolving complexities of being human in a demanding world.

I have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those who may have discovered their neurodivergence later in life. This stage can bring a mix of clarity, grief, relief, and re-evaluation—and therapy can be a space to process, integrate, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and particularly value working with members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HOH) community, helping create a space that is accessible, culturally aware, and affirming.

As someone who identifies as queer, I bring a sex-positive, affirming lens to my work and strive to create a space where all identities, relationships, and experiences are welcomed without judgment. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are seeking to better understand themselves, unlearn patterns that no longer serve them, and build lives that align more closely with who they truly are.

A Bit About Me

I am AuDHD and was diagnosed later in life, which deeply informs both my personal perspective and my clinical work. I understand firsthand the nuances of navigating a world that isn’t always designed with neurodivergent minds in mind.

It was through the support and clinical experience I gained at Neuron and Rose that I decided to pursue an autism evaluation myself—an experience that reflects the affirming and supportive nature of the practice. This perspective continues to shape how I show up in my work with clients.

This lived experience allows me to approach therapy with a sense of empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and being. My goal is not to “fix,” but to support you in understanding yourself more fully and creating a life that feels more aligned, sustainable, and compassionate.
