Add-on Evaluations
Combine multiple evaluations to help address your whole self.
Deepen your self-discovery add-on services when you work with us for therapy or evaluations.
At Neuron & Rose Psychological Services we believe in turning over every stone that you want to when it comes to your self-discovery. In addition to our core evaluations we offer several add-ons to help you identify your strengths and shore up areas where you feel you may need more support.
IQ Testing
Fee: $1000
Think of IQ testing as a way to understand your brain — not to assign a label or a number. Using tools like the WAIS-V (for adults) or WISC-V (for kids and teens), we explore your unique cognitive strengths and processing styles: how you solve problems, notice patterns, process information, and make sense of the world.
The Process
The testing typically takes 1–2 sessions, about 2 hours each, with a variety of engaging, puzzle-like tasks. We assess areas like verbal comprehension, visual-spatial reasoning, working memory, processing speed, and fluid reasoning. It’s not about right or wrong answers — it’s about understanding how your brain naturally approaches challenges. You might discover, for example, that you excel at seeing patterns visually, thinking creatively, or reasoning with words, while other tasks may require more energy or a different approach.
After the Test
After testing, we provide a brief feedback session and an abbreviated report. These insights go beyond curiosity — they can clarify why some tasks feel easy while others are challenging, guide learning strategies or workplace accommodations, and inform therapeutic or educational planning. For parents, it can illuminate a child’s natural learning style; for adults, it can highlight cognitive patterns that influence work, study, or daily life.
IQ testing can stand alone, but it’s often most valuable as part of a broader evaluation to create a fuller picture. Ultimately, it’s about understanding how you think, so you — and those supporting you — can create environments, strategies, and expectations that truly fit how you learn, problem-solve, and thrive.
You Don’t Need to Keep Guessing
Personality Testing
Fee: $2000
Your brain works in its own wonderfully unique way — and personality testing helps you see exactly how. Using a mix of tools — like the R-PAS (Rorschach), TAT, MMPI-3, MCMI-IV, PAI, and sometimes a deep-dive interview — we uncover your strengths, coping styles, and recurring patterns.
The Process
The evaluation can be done on its own or alongside other assessments, usually over 2–4 sessions of about 2 hours each (flexible if needed). It’s not about labels or “fixing” you — it’s about understanding how you operate in real life: at work, in relationships, and even in those “why did I just do that?” moments.
After the Test
When it’s done, you get a detailed report and feedback session, full of practical insights to guide personal growth, career choices, relationships, and therapeutic planning. This is especially helpful for anyone who’s ever felt misunderstood, struggled with stress, or just wants to know themselves better.
In short, personality testing is more than a snapshot — it’s a roadmap to self-awareness, showing you how to play to your strengths and navigate the world in a way that feels truly authentic.
For some, the diagnostic process is about more than just answers, it's about being truly seen and heard. Sharing your story can be a deeply healing experience, especially if you've been through non-affirming assessments in the past. After an evaluation at Neuron & Rose Psychological Services, you won’t have ‘just answers,’ you’ll have:
A coherent understanding of your life
Language for your experiences
A path forward that actually fits
Permission to stop forcing what was never working

Giftedness assessment Add-on
Fee: $2000
Do you feel “out of sync” with traditional systems? This assessment isn’t about scores or labels, it’s designed to provide a deep, strengths-based focus on your cognitive and creative potential. It isn’t about “smarts,” it’s about helping you understand your unique way of thinking, learning, and thriving, so you can harness your abilities more effectively and feel more aligned with yourself and your environment.
The Process
The entire assessment takes 2-3 sessions additional testing sessions on top of the evaluation you’ve picked. Each session runs approximately 2 hours and includes things like a brief but in-depth clinical interview, an IQ test using WAIS or RIAS, and additional scales and questionnaires to screen for giftedness and other common co-occurring diagnoses.
After the Test
You don’t just get a report, you get a detailed background history, interpretations of your results, and recommendations and resources to support your strengths and needs. We can also talk about any additional next steps and answer any lingering questions you may still have.
